CITYBIZ: Penzance, Invesco to Break Ground at 3001 and 3003 Washington Blvd
Penzance and Invesco Real Estate will break ground on their new project at 3001 & 3003 Washington Boulevard in Arlington, VA on Monday, May 7th. Virginia Congressman Jim Moran will be the keynote speaker for the event hosted by Penzance, Invesco, and Jones Lang LaSalle. Jones Lang LaSalle's Northern Virginia Agency Leasing Team is leasing the property on behalf of Penzance. 3001 & 3003 Washington Boulevard will be a new, 280,000-square-foot mixed-use project one block from the Clarendon Metro Station. CNA, a not-for-profit research and analysis organization, will occupy 175,000 square feet as its headquarters facility upon delivery in early 2014. The groundbreaking will take place on-site starting at 10 a.m. 3001 & 3003 Washington Boulevard functions as two separate buildings, consisting of the 10-story, 200,000-square-foot office building at 3001 Washington Boulevard attached to an eight-story, 80,000-square-foot office building at 3003 Washington Boulevard. The development will feature a public plaza and sidewalk areas to accommodate café tables and outdoor seating for retail tenants.
